Efter succes med sidste års The Whisky Show i London har arrangørerne valgt at fortsætte, dog i endnu større lokaler (The Brewery, et centralt beliggende ombygget bryggeri grundlagt af Samuel Whitbread for ca. 250 år siden).
Det ultra-premium tema fastholdes med vægt på whisky og masterclasses i den helt tunge ende, fredag/lørdag den 29.-30. oktober 2010.
Prisen afspejler eksklusiviteten med endagsbillet til £95 og to-dagsbillet til £160.
Billet dækker glas, fri smagning i hele salen (ingen betalingsdram), middagsbuffet, plus 1 ultra-premium dram per dag.
The Whisky Sho afholdes af Graeme Wallace (gwp publishing) i samarbejde med The Whisky Exchange.

The Whisky Show 2010 Masterclasses
4 ud af weekendens 5 masterclasses er nu offentliggjort. Jeg er tilmeldt Clynelish/Brora og Dalmore. Om ikke andet, så er et par timer i selskab med Richard Paterson altid pengene værd.
• Glenmorangie Masterclass: Join Glenmorangie’s Annabel Meikle on a trip focusing on the sherried side of the distillery’s malts. There will be five special whiskies to taste, including the hotly-anticipated Finealta and the 30yo Malaga Finish, as well as some exclusive sherry-matured samples.
Friday 29th October, 5.30pm. Tickets £20.
• Clynelish vs. Brora Masterclass: Not so much a competition as a friendly discussion on the relative merits of the spirits from this legendary corner of the Highlands. Malt Maniac Serge Valentin, perhaps the world’s leading authority on Brora & Clynelish, will be guiding us through a stunning selection of half a dozen of the best ever bottlings from these distilleries.
Saturday 30th October, 1.30pm. Tickets £45.
• Tour of Islay Masterclass: A whistle-stop tour of five of our favourite drams from some of the world’s most famous distilleries, with the emphasis on exploring different aspects of peatiness in whisky. Five of Islay’s finest whiskies will be in the spotlight, including an incredibly rare 12 year-old Port Ellen, and the phenomenal 1968 Bunnahabhain Auld Aquaintance.
Saturday 30th October, 3.30pm. Tickets £37.50.
• The Ultimate Dalmore Masterclass: Bringing the curtain down on 2010’s Whisky Show will be an event that will surely be one of the most talked-about tastings of the year anywhere in the world. Richard Paterson, Dalmore’s Master Blender, will be taking us through five whiskies at the very zenith of the the distiller’s art. This tasting will not only include Dalmore’s extraordinary 40yo, but also the astonishing Candela 50yo (which sells for £7350) - and one lucky attendee will be chosen for a taste of something even more special…
Saturday 30th October, 5pm. Tickets £49.
