Bladnoch har frigivet deres hidtil ældste aftapning siden David Prior overtog destilleriet.
Denne 30 års aftapning har ligget på oloroso sherry og Moscatel casks og der er kommet 945 flasker af denne, aftappet ved 45,5%
Noter (Bladnoch):
NOSE: Dried Apricots, floral and nutmeg, with Seville oranges.
PALATE: Almonds and marzipan with Seville oranges.
FINISH: Light, floral and fruity with a crack of black pepper.

4 refill butts og 6 refill hogsheads blev produceret i 1968. I februar måned 2008 blev disse fade hældt over i first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks, hvor det har ligget i yderligere 14 år.
Noter (Highland Park):
Intriguing aromas of exotic lychee and aromatic camphor, vintage oak and delicate peat, herald the exquisitely balanced sweet, rich and complex flavours that follow. Warm spices – crushed cumin and coriander seeds – emerge and subside to reveal fragrant notes of summer rose and jasmine, with just a hint of honeyed kiwi fruit and pistachio biscotti. Sweet and spicy at the end, woody notes give way to a lingering whisper of sweet fenugreek and heathery peat smoke.
Highland Park 54 er aftappet ved 46,9% og der er frigivet 225 flasker.

Ardbeg kommer nu som sci-fi i bog form. Historierne tager udgangspunkt i de tra aftapninger Ardbeg Ten Years Old, Ardbeg An Oa og Ardbeg Wee Beastie.

Chivas er kommet med en ny aftapning der hedder Ultis XX. Ultis XX er som romertallet angiver, 20 år gammel.
Den består af 5 malts og er sat sammen af Master Blender Sandy Hyslop.
Strathisla single malt Scotch whisky: the heart of every Chivas blend
Tormore single Speyside malt whisky: bringing rich citrus orange notes
Longmorn single malt Scotch whisky: with creamy vanilla toffee flavours
Allt-a-Bhainne single malt Scotch whisky: for subtle spice and malt
Breaval single malt whisky: providing a floral scent
Strathclyde grain whisky: adding a complex sweetness
Noter (Chivas):
Nose: Fresh with juicy red apples, raspberry jam, fresh vanilla pods and butter toffee
Palate: Smooth and sweet, with blossom honey, milk chocolate, poached pears in syrup, apricot and orange zest.

Den 16. aftapning i Chess Malt serien er aftappet og det er en 19 års Single Malt fra Pulteney Distillery
Der er aftappet 208 flasker fra dette ex-bourbon barrel på 59,6%
Noter (Chess Malt):
Nose: Milk chocolate, flowers and caramelised apples.
Palate: Polished oak, leather and light fruits.
Finish: Long lasting finish with lingering oak notes.

Billy Walker har været igang med at sætte en ny aftapning sammen. Denne gang er det en Cuvée Wine Cask Finish
Cuvée er denne gang benyttet i forbindelse med: “by combining single malt matured in wine casks from multiple wineries.”
Aftapningen har først ligget på ex-Bourbon barrels og derefter i mere end 20 måneder på forskellige wine barriques.
"The Languedoc casks are said to impart notes of “red fruits, sweet spices and garden herbs”; whilst the Recioto Della Valpolicella, produced in Verona, Italy, contributes “ripe cherries, coconut shavings, liquorice and raspberry coulis”; and the Premier Cru Classé wood brings “blackcurrant, espresso coffee and wild truffle” to the table."
Billy Walker udtaler: “As an impassioned wine enthusiast, devising a Cuvée has been nothing short of a dream project. I’m fortunate to have longstanding relationships with premium wine producers across Europe which has opened doors for us to create a whisky with intricate charm.
As a blender at heart, identifying wine styles that would sit well together and capture distinctive qualities presented an enjoyable challenge. They say, ‘never mix grape and grain’, but I say this marriage is a match made in heaven.”
Noter (GlenAllachie):
Colour: Golden Bronze.
Nose: Bursting with orange blossom, espresso, maraschino cherries and honeysuckle, with hints of candied stone fruits, hazelnuts, lavender and cinnamon.
Taste: Waves of dark chocolate, redcurrants and burnt coffee beans, followed by crystalised almonds, blackberries and orange zest, with ginger and liquorice on the finish.

I anledninge af at Wolfburn fylder 10 år, har de lavet en Anniversary Series. I og med at Wolfburn startede med at destillerer den 25. januar for 10 år siden, vil de kommende aftapninger i denne serie komme årligt på Burns Night med 2023 som den første. Hver aftapning vil blive en single cask aftapning.
Der er aftappet 680 flasker af den 2023 single-cask release der har ligget i over 9 år på et ex-Oloroso sherry butt, no. 2013#691, fyldt i oktober 2013 og aftappet ved 52,3%
Noter (Wolfburn):
ON THE NOSE – There’s heat, as expected with a whisky of this strength, but it’s soft with no burn. Beautiful sweet tones shine through with the promise of a very rich dram indeed.
ON THE PALATE – Only sherry-matured whiskies lend themselves to a creaminess like this. The sweetness and depth of flavour is an absolutely joy. Autumn fruits mingle with golden syrup and treacle, while soft floral notes overlay the whole.
FINISH – The dram gets sweeter over time and unsurprisingly it’s the Oloroso tones that linger to the very end. A truly excellent dram, and a lovely testament to a decade of hard work by Wolfburn’s master distillers.

I 1969 blev dette fad fyldt hos Macallan og lå hos Macallan i 40 år inden det blev flyttet til Duncan Taylors warehouse i Huntly.
Fadet er nu aftappet og flasken har designet ud fra en 'Dirk' som er en skotsk dolk.
Euan Shand siger: "I feel it is a privilege to be the custodian of these stunning rare Macallan casks. Originally filled back in 1969 it’s the start of an exciting chapter at Duncan Taylor as we plan to release more Macallan over time, as well as a selection of other rare malts from the 1960s."
