GLENMORANGIE plc CELEBRATES WITH A DOUBLE
Whisky lovers from all over the world last night voted independent Scotch malt whisky distiller, Glenmorangie plc, as Distiller of the Year-¢.
And drams were raised for a second time when the company-¢s Ardbeg Distillery on Islay was named whisky Visitor Attraction of the Year-¢.
Votes were cast by readers of Whisky, the prestigious monthly magazine for whisky connoisseurs. Its editor, Dominic Roskrow, said:
"No other Scotch whisky distiller has shown more innovation in creating and marketing whisky while staying true to the heritage and history of the product.
Also, in Ardbeg Uigeadail, launched this year, it has created a truly great whisky, reinforcing Glenmorangie plc-¢s reputation as one of the malt world-¢s heavyweights."
Glenmorangie plc-¢s master distiller, Dr Bill Lumsden, said:
"These awards are a real testament to our company-¢s focus on malt whisky and total commitment to quality and innovation. It is the passion and hard work of our employees that creates such great malts, a view clearly shared by consumers around the world.""
